 Rules of PlayLowest score wins. Usually, the contest is based on medal play (total strokes over ten hole Pro Shop course or four hole Short Course), although match play (each hole played as a separate mini-contest) is an acceptable option. In areas of the yard designated as "rough", balls must be played as they lie. If player finds himself "stymied", that is, with his ball stopped close to, or up against, the sides of the wicket, he must play out of his predicament without striking the bell with his club. Striking the bell at any time with the club incurs a penalty stroke. |
